speech for nola 2

Assalamualaikum wr. Wb

Good morning ladies and gentleman

First of all, I would like to address my thank to the honorable judges for giving me this great opportunity to deliver a speech in this great occasion. I also thank the audience for giving me extra attention in listening to my speech.
Before delivering my speech, I would like to introduce myself. My name is ………………… I study at …………………. And the title of my speech is “Negative Effects of Illegal Abortion”

Honorable audience

Abortion is a medical treatment that is applied for particular cases occur due to serious problem that threaten the life of the mother and the baby inside. It is legal for marriage couples with such cases. But what about for unmarried couples? Law in Indonesia forbids doctors to do abortion for unmarried couples, except if the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother and the baby. Therefore, when unmarried couples are not ready to have a baby and do abortion, it is called illegal abortion.

Since the law forbids its implementation, illegal abortion is done secretly and often under careless condition. That’s why in some cases caught, the police found that the mother became dead because of careless treatment. From these cases the police found out shocking truth that the illegal abortion practitioners are not real doctors, they do not have any legal certificate for doing abortion.

It’s not the abortion that we have to control, what we have to worry about is the youth way of thinking. It’s not the illegal abortion that becomes the root of this problem….it’s actually free sex that should be controlled.

People who did illegal abortion are unmarried couples. When the government legalizes abortion, it will mean that they also permit free sex. It’s not good for our teenagers, students like us. When the law says that abortion for unmarried couples is illegal, it is also mean that our society cannot accept free sex among them.

Illegal abortion can only bring negative effects, first it can cause death, death for the mother, and also the baby. When you do abortion, you do killing. You kill an innocent live, and that makes you a killer, that’s why all people who are involved in abortion must be put in jail as killers.

Second, it can create misconception on youth’s mind, that they can do free sex before marriage, that they can kill the baby when they don’t want to have it. Illegal abortion must be put under control, for the sake of our society!

Honorable audience

Teenagers become the responsibility of the parents and society to be controlled. With the active attention from parents, and good guidance from schools, we can set the teenagers mind on the right path, so there will be no unwanted pregnancy that would lead to illegal abortion. We, as teenagers, will do good, with the help of our parents and teachers at school.

Thank you

Assalamualaikum wr. Wb

Good morning ladies and gentleman

First of all, I would like to address my thank to the honorable judges for giving me this great opportunity to deliver a speech in this great occasion. I also thank the audience for giving me extra attention in listening to my speech.
Before delivering my speech, I would like to introduce myself. My name is ………………… I study at …………………. And the title of my speech is “Ways to Prevent Flood”

Honorable audience

We all may realize that flood has become our constant problem. Every year, flood becomes a problem that is failed to be overcome by the government. It seems that the government has not yet found the best solution to solve this condition.

Why do they fail?

Is it totally their fault?

I guess no! Let ask ourselves, what have we done to help the government solve this problem? I can say that we’ve done little to support government’s program in preventing flood. I may even say that we are greatly possible to be responsible in causing this problem.

Then what kind of contribution can we give to our society regarding to this problem?
First, we can contribute by planting more trees in the absorption areas. Flood may occur because soil cannot absorb and hold water. We tend to cut trees without considering that it will affect the balance of our environment. Cutting trees will lessen the soil ability in absorbing water. By planting more trees, the soil can absorb water that comes from rain, so there will be no flood anymore when it is raining.

This act can be done without any help from the government. This can be done independently by the people. By doing this, the community has something to be given back to the society without relying too much on government’s effort.
Next, with government support, we can make good drainage. Financial help from the government in constructing city drainage will greatly overcome flood. As we know, our drainage is not so well-built. It is stuck here and there. And sometimes has lost its function and becomes a place full of trash so that the water cannot flow in it.

With constant problem on flood every rainy season, we should start to think about making good drainage like what they have in foreigner country. Big pipes where people can walk through are the best size to keep all of the water that becomes our main problem.

So with the combination of the community act and government support, it is greatly possible that we can overcome our problem related to flood. The government cannot stand and do the act by themselves, and the community contribution will mean nothing without the government support. It is time for us to stand together to fix this problem. It’s time for us to walk hand in hand for our better future.

Honorable audience

So it is clear now, that we can solve this problem, as long as we do it together. Start together, and start now!

Need no Gasoline...

the fire turns out
he never pours gasoline to it recently
the logs are still
but the fire won't start
the wind blows
try to turn the fire up
fire starts to show up
though in the shape of flame
wind keeps blowing softly
fire dances with the wind's blow
needs no gasoline anymore
....or does she still?

Daylight saving time

Taken from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Daylight saving time (DST) – also summer time in British English – is the practice of temporarily advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn. Modern DST was first proposed in 1895 by George Vernon Hudson. Many countries have used it since then; details vary by location and change occasionally.

The practice is controversial. Adding daylight to afternoons benefits retailing, sports, and other activities that exploit sunlight after working hours, but causes problems for farming, evening entertainment and other occupations tied to the sun. Traffic fatalities are reduced when there is extra afternoon daylight. Its effect on health and crime is less clear. Although an early goal of DST was to reduce evening usage of incandescent lighting, formerly a primary use of electricity, modern heating and cooling usage patterns differ greatly, and research about how DST currently affects energy use is limited or contradictory.

DST's occasional clock shifts present other challenges. They complicate timekeeping, and can disrupt meetings, travel, billing, record keeping, medical devices, heavy equipment, and sleep patterns. Software can often adjust computer clocks automatically, but this can be limited and error-prone, particularly when DST protocols are changed.
